Doug is originally from Lebanon, KY, but moved to Lexington in 1987. He was recruited by one of the founding owners just a year after WHI was established. Prior to WHI, Doug co-owned a cabinet company in Lebanon and worked in the construction industry. Doug says he has come a long way from when he first started. He began by selling trim out of an old police cruiser, custom built with racks to haul trim. He, and the police cruiser, made countless trips from Campbellsville to Lexington delivering trim and serving customers. Doug has 40 years-experience in the building industry.

When asked what he enjoys most about WHI, he said he enjoys everything. All around, he loves meeting people, serving customers and selling quality wood products. One of his favorite projects was the remodel of the Castle in Versailles. It took nearly a year to complete. Doug considers the people of WHI family and is proud to be a part of the WHI team.

Outside of work, Doug enjoys spending time with family and traveling.
