Sales

I am not a builder. Will you sell to me?

Yes, our major clientele is building contractors who specialize in residential or commercial building, but we will sell to anyone who has a need for quality interior products.

What if my project is small, will you still sell to me?

Yes, we leave no one out. If you simply need a few feet of shoe moulding, trim, a stair tread or trying to match a previous door pattern, we are here for you. 

I am not sure what I am looking for. Can you assist?

Sure, we would love to help. Trends change from year to year and it is our job to stay on top of the latest styles. Contact us or stop by one of our regional locations and a millwork expert will be ready to guide you along the way. In the mean time you are welcome to grab some ideas form our project gallery or our catalogs.

Can I get a sample?

Yes, if you are settled on a few different trim profiles, but have not yet made up your mind we would be happy to cut a few samples for you.

How long is an estimate good for?

30 days, unless otherwise stated. Depending on the job size and length of time to complete, an estimate can extend past the 30-day mark.

Do you accept returns?

Yes, stock items can be returned as long as they are undamaged and returned in the same condition they left our warehouse. 6 months is the maximum length of time a customer has to return an item.

Billing

How long to I have to pay my bill?

Terms are stated at the bottom of a customer’s invoice.

Do you accept Credit Cards?

Yes, we accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.

Do you offer credit accounts?

Yes, an established business with an approved credit application can receive a credit account with WHI.

Why am I being asked to pay a deposit?

A 50% deposit is required for any non-stock material or special-order items. Deposits, or full payments, may be requested for first time customers or businesses who do not have an open credit account established.

What is a Setup Charge?

A setup charge is allocated to accommodate for the time it takes to setup manufacturing machinery for a particular job. This charge is applied to specialty items that are non-stock.

What is a Knife Charge?

A knife charge is allocated to accommodate for the expense required in the creation of a new custom knife profile. Check out all the custom knife profiles WHI has accumulated over the past several decades while serving our customers custom design needs.

Products & Services

Do you offer walk-throughs?

Yes, an Account Executive would be more than happy to schedule a time to perform a walk through for your building project.

Does WHI do installs?

No, we do not offer installation. Although, we have relationships with the some of the top builders and contractors around. Contact us or stop by a regional location for details.

Can you match a door or piece of trim?

Yes, much of our customer satisfaction has come from detailed designers and craftsmen who seek to match an existing product profiles and patterns.

Do you make custom jambs for doors and openings?

Yes, measurements and specifications are required.

What information is needed for a custom trim quote?

To quote a custom trim profile we need the following:

  • A sample or drawing of the profile.
  • Width, height and any length specification.
  • Desired footage required.
  • Desired wood species.

What is flexible moulding?

Flexible trim moulding is a polyurethane material that can be bent, cut and shaped to fit several unique trim needs, including arches, curved walls, and bathrooms. 

Does WHI sell exterior products?

For the most part, no. Although, we have done special order products that end up on the exterior of homes.

Shipping

Do you deliver products?

Yes. House packages are delivered right to the job site. For special orders or smaller orders, you may request drop-offs to be made at your local warehouse. Check out our locations page to see all warehouse locations.

Can I pick up my product?

Yes, for pickup at a warehouse you will want to call ahead of time to make sure your product is ready for pick up.

Do you ship via common carrier?

Yes, for customers or job sites outside of our normal delivery routes WHI will utilize a common carrier service, typically UPS or XPO.

When do you make deliveries?

We make deliveries five days a week to all fifteen of our regional locations and many locations twice a week.
